Tech companies this week have been working assiduously to help fix the Meltdown and Spectre bugs.
It has been reported that billions of smart phones, tablets and laptops have been affected all over the world.
The hardware bugs Meltdown and Spectre, allow attackers to steal data that has been processed on the computer.
This includes personal photos, Emails, Password manager, instant messages and sensitive documents.
Apple has currently confirmed that its products have also been affected.
It has therefore advised users to download their softwares from trusted sources only, to avoid downloading malicious apps.
According to Apple, “The issue applies to all modern processors and affects nearly all computing devices and operating systems.”
It said mitigations against Meltdown in its latest iPhone and iPad’s operating system has been released.
It also mentioned that the meltdown, does not affect Apple watch.
Google on the other hand has revealed that, Android phones are protected if users have the latest security updates.
