Ex. President J. A Kufour has been unveiled as the chairman of the Ghana Job Bank Initiative.

The outdooring ceremony is set to take place tomorrow, January 9, 2018 at his residence near the African Regent Hotel.

However, the Ghana Job Bank initiative is geared towards using technology to build a platform that will engage the youth as well as provide employment opportunities through their trainings.

Its core initiatives include Private Sector Skill Council, Public School Council, University Alumni Businesses Mission, MoU COHORT Programme, Ghana Industry Partnership, One District One Factory Trade Centers, as well as Chieftancy Infrastructure Support .

Statistics also show that out of the 1.2 million unemployed people in Ghana, about 714,96 are females with 535,997 being males.

Moreover, it has been reported that the Upper West Region has the highest unemployment rate (18.4%) with Brong Ahafo Region recording the lowest (8.4%).

The Ghana Job Bank initiative therefore aims at helping graduates, young professionals as well as entrepreneurs match their skills in their career.
