Huawei Technologies Ghana has reposted a global message of assurance and commitment to sustainable software ecosystem from its headquarters, citing that as a key global partner of Android, it has worked to develop a robust ecosystem that has been very beneficial to users and the industry, globally.

Using its social media handle @HuaweiMobileGH, Huawei Ghana posted: “A message to our Huawei Ghana fans regarding the announcement by Google. Further updates to follow.”

The post was accompanied by the statement from the global office of Huawei and it reads thus:
“Huawei has made substantial contributions to the development and growth of Android around the world. As one of the Android’s key global partners, we have worked closely with their open-source platform to develop an ecosystem that has benefitted both users and the industry.

” Huawei will continue to provide security updates and after sales services to all existing Huawei and Honor smartphone and tablet products covering those which have been sold or still in stock globally.
We will continue to build a safe and sustainable software ecosystem, in order to provide the best experience for all users globally.”

Huawei moved its way into a clear number two spot as the only smartphone vendor at the top of the market that saw volumes grow during 1Q19.

Impressively, the company had year-over-year growth of 50.3% in 1Q19 with volumes of 59.1 million units and a 19.0% market share.
