The National Science and Maths Quiz held a poll on Twitter, to determine who would win the first contest of the day and Opoku Ware SHS, proved it right by fighting for a place in the quarter finals.

The contest had Opoku Ware School competing against G.S.T.S and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Girls’ SHS.

From the start, Opoku Ware School led the competition and won with over a 30 point gap.

They (Augustine Addo Adomako, Azantilow Ajuisiwon) finished the competition with 61 points, G.S.T.S with 33 points and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Girls’SHS with 30 points.

The second contest of the day featured New Juaben SHS against Ghanata SHS and Tweneboa Kodua SHS.

There was barely any competition between the schools and New Juaben (Acquah Reginald Gyamfi, Doe Bright Kwasi) won the contest with a score of 25- the least winning score recorded so far during the one-eighth.

Tweneboa Kodua SHS and Ghanata SHS ended the competition with 20 and 17 points respectively.

The last contest of the day pit Mawuli School against Academy of Christ the King and Bishop Herman College.

Mawuli School (Okwen Wisdom, Dzikum Isaac Newton) won the competition with 44 points, Academy of Christ the King 23 points and Bishop Herman College with 20 points
